"I am in love with this necklace"
Mermaid Adella October, 8 2012
This necklace was a beautiful surprise...She knew what I wanted (the parts and pieces at least) and she used her imagination to create a one of kind mermaid necklace for me. I am in love with this necklace and can't wait to use it for an event this winter. As an added bonus she made a matching bracelet for me to wear as well. I am in love with them and can't wait to wear it all together with my tail :) Thanks !!!!!!

I received my very first mermaid tail from Mermaid Morticia yesterday and had my first swim in it! This is my first portion of the review, the second portion to come after the tail is again taken in and painted.
First, I feel very fortunate that I live near a tailmaker. Morticia allowed me to come visit her to take my measurements in person. I asked lots of questions and she was never once annoyed with me (to my knowledge! XD). She also took measurements for a
top that would match the tail. She was very kind, courteous and professional. I gave her the money in person and told her I was going on a diet and exercise regime and Morticia decided perhaps it would be good to take in the tail just a bit before my next fitting. My initial visit was the first Saturday in April. I happily agreed and got to take a little "tour" of her workshop and see a few other tails in progress as well!
In the meantime, I spent much of my free hours exercising and eating healthier to fit into the tail's new measurements. Morticia took everything in by half an inch. My first fitting would be May 4th so I was working very hard!
May 4th rolls around and my mother and I excitedly pull up to Morticia's for my first fitting. During the time I was working out, Mortica took the time to send me text updates (we exchanged numbers) and info through Facebook as well, so I knew the Rapid monofin had come in, as had the paints and the neoprene was sewn. I was so excited! Morticia taught me how to get in and out of the "sleeve" (the tail wasn't fully sewn yet because we were finding out whether my workouts had paid off) with the monofin on my feet. Surprise, surprise! My workouts paid off tremendously and in total, the tail had to be taken in about two whole inches! I was ecstatic!
We arranged our first swim for Sunday, May 19th. I continued to work out and found that the tail was a smidge loose in areas, which was not unexpected. Mortica allowed me to keep the tail for now and it will be measured again, taken in and painted just before Seadog Nights and Gypsy Carnival 2013, which is in mid-July. The reason the tail is not painted yet is because the final design has stripes and having to take the tail in again would mess up the stripe pattern. I completely agree.
So for the first half of the review, definitely 5/5 stars!
"Overall, love it!... Very happy mermaid here!"

Part Two: 5/5 Stars!
I drove down to Morticia's at the end of June to drop the tail off for some tailoring and the new paint job. Morti asked me how it was fitting, how I was taking care of it and if the seams needed resewing. The only issue I had was more inch loss, which she happily remedied by taking the tail in again. Morti was always very patient and courteous!
She sent me updates via text and Facebook with how the pattern came out. I adore it. Picking it up again the following weekend, I made a mad dash to the pool to make sure I was ready for Seadog Nights! The pattern looks amazing in the water and the tail fits better than ever. She also modified the tips of the fluke by sewing part of them shut so they wouldn't collect as much water when getting out of the pool. It helps so much since I have less water retained in the tail!
Morti also modified the waist band since I had a problem of it curling over on itself when I swam, revealing the flesh-toned inner lining of the tail. It no longer gives me this problem.
Overall, love it! I am very blessed to work so closely with Morti. Very happy mermaid here!
"This has got to be one of the most comfortable tails ever!"

I LOVE my hand made, Hand painted, **SEAMLESS NEOPRENE** tail from Morticia!! It is seriously the BEST! It fits like a glove! The craftsmanship is unparalleled! DID I MENTION ITS SEAMLESS!! IDK how she did it! The typical side seams that neoprene tails have arent there! No leg irritation when swimming! This has got to be one of the most comfortable tails ever! If you were thinking of ordering a neoprene tail, Order from Morticia! She's AWESOME!

Thank You So Much Mermaid Morticia's Mermaid Tails For Making My Mermaid Headdress I Really Love It !!
"In late December early January, I started emailing Mortica about ordering a tail, do to ordering a tail from another tailmaker but not receiving feedback. I warned her that the other tailmaker may work with me. Lexia was gracious and still continued to give me info on her tails. I discovered that every five seconds she got back to me. I have never worked with someone so easy and patient. She spoke to me about colour swatches, materials, and sequins. She was extremely patient with my so many questions. It turns out, the other tailmaker was willing to work with me and continue working on my tail. Morticia is so great to work with and she is such an artist. I highly recommend her, as she is a wonderful saleswoman and an amazing tail/accessory maker." -- Natalie the Mermaid- 2013

Mermaid Valerie- October 3, 2014
My name is Valerie and I would like to share my experience of purchasing a custom neoprene mermaid tail from Morticia Mermaid.
While the construction time was a bit longer than expected, the tail was well worth the wait. I had colors chosen for the tail, however I left the design up to the artist. The colors sparkle in the sunlight, and the scales (which are an option) are amazing. The fit is perfect; which is important as I have had several tails which needed to be altered (they were all too long).
I had chosen a painted neoprene tail over a silicone one because I found the weight of the silicone tail I owned previously to be an issue, as was the added buoyancy that accompanied the silicone tail I owned. This tail is light weight, and I have no trouble descending while swimming.
I would highly recommend a neoprene tail to new mermaids as well as those who cannot afford or have issues with the silicone tails. Affordable, light, comfortable, and beautiful; and a very important point...I am not ashamed to have children TOUCH my tail! It feels more like skin than fabric tails.
Morticia Mermaid; I thank you.
